Turn any jacket into a heated one. This USB electric heated jacket pad set slips inside your existing coat, vest or clothing to add real, adjustable warmth wherever you need it. Each pad measures 12 x 8cm (4.7″ x 3.4″) and is built from carbon fibre heating cotton thread, rated at 5V and 8W, with a maximum temperature of 55°C (131°F).
How It Works
Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power on, and the pad starts at full, 100% voltage output shown by a red light. After 5 minutes it steps down automatically to a medium heat, shown by a green light, and a further press cycles you through high, medium and low. Hold the button for 3 seconds again to power off.
Power
Run each pad from a 5V, 2A power source, whether that’s a computer, a power adapter or a power bank, not included. Simply tuck the pad into your jacket, vest or other clothing and plug in for warmth wherever you place it.
Where to Use It
Suited to clothes, vests, waists, abdomens and even pet beds or blankets, though you should keep sewing needles away from the central heating wire if you’re stitching the pad in place. It’s foldable and water resistant to a degree, heats evenly, and can be washed, though you shouldn’t leave it soaking for long since the layers are glued together and prolonged immersion can affect that adhesive.
